Even if she’s smart
Even if he’s heterosexual
Even if she’s ordinary
Even if he loves to dance
Even if she’s beautiful
When my child is young I hope I can teach him the worth of his inner-self, not that how he looks is important. I wish for my child to treat others in the same way, to value their intellect and their sense of humour, to treat everyone fairly.
I hope he enjoys learning
I hope she learns to build something
I hope he listens to his teacher
I hope she might never find a glass ceiling
I hope he never loses interest in the world
When my child grows up, I hope that she will find a job that fulfils her. He won’t stop to think about how much he will earn. She won’t worry if she will be capable. I will love him.
Even if she decides to be a doctor
Even if he wants to be a chef
Even if she is a university professor
Even if he is an engineer
Even if she earns more
In his relationships, I hope my child is kind and caring, I hope he can cry and laugh. I hope he can find a love that lasts a lifetime. I wish for her to meet people who will love her.
Even when he is stressed
Even when her house is messy
Even when his job takes over
Even when she needs time to think
Even when he is sensitive
In life, I wish for my child to be brave. To face each challenge with courage, joy and companion. To live each moment to the fullest. I wish for my child to be caring of others, to listen to them and help when they can. I will love him no matter what.
Even if she is honest
Even if he is shy
Even if she is brilliant
Even if he is popular
Even if she is sad
No matter what, I love you. I wish you can love yourself as much as I Iove you. I hope you will love others like I love you. My wish is that one day you will wish the same things for your children too.
